Ensham Dive Club

Joining Ensham

Each member of Ensham pays a monthly subscription of £8.00. This subscription contributes to the running costs of the club and is used for the purchase of equipment and for subsidising dive trips, training and social events.

To join our club you will also need to become a member of BSAC (British Sub Aqua Club). BSAC is the governing body of all the BSAC dive clubs nationally and internationally. Membership to BSAC is via an annual subscription fee of £43. This covers the cost of an excellent monthly Club magazine 'Dive' and your third party public liability insurance.

In order to be a member of BSAC and therefore receive its insurance benefits, each member signs a Self-Certification Medical Form. This is a legal declaration that you are fit to dive.

If you have any doubts about your fitness or if you answer NO to any of the questions on the form, you you will need to get a doctor's authorisation that you are medically fit to dive. You can usually get this through your own doctor or from a BSAC recommended Medical Referee.
